Dougs brother James got home from his mission tonight. Terrie was elated to say the least. As soon as she saw him walking down the stairs the tears started crying and she started jumping up and down :). It was so cute. . . I can't imagine leaving Krew for two years. Anyway, this was James first time meeting Krew. We have been trying to teach Krew how to say James for weeks now. . . to no avail. It was so excited to see James tonight! We love him and missed him so much! I remember we used to joke about us having a baby when he got home from his miss. and we have a toddler! YIKES! We're so excited to see how James's life unfolds. We are so proud of him for making the right decision to go on a mission and becoming such a good missinary. I know that is the best way to start his adult life out and I can't wait to see when life takes this boy! We love you James!
A couple of weeks ago we went with my parents to Moab Ut. for a week to go ridin. It was so nice to get away for a while. My inlaws took Krew which I am so greatful for! I didn't worry about him the entire time. Moab is such a beautiful place. I could live there. I love riding there because its pretty tough but its such a good work out and I like the challenge. Afer our first ride Doug informed me that he didn't know if he could ride the rest of the time because he was exhausted from taking his bike up some tough places and then getting mine though it to. haha we toughed it out tho. We ended up having a really good time. The temp. was in the 80's the entire time! Perfect!I love seeing my husband in his riding gear :) its hot! I love the red dirt and the slick rock. I was to scared to pack my camera along with me being that I wreck frequently so these a few pics that we took from a phone. Hottie :) My mom and dad our guides. All of us taking a break in a sweet cave we rode into.
My husband loves me. . . This is what Doug got me for my birthday, mothers day, christmas and every holiday for the rest of the year :)Thanks Doug! Your the bomb.com :)
I have been working on a baby scrap book for Doug and I came across a pic. of him that reminded me alot of a pic. of Krew on a pg. I did for him. I compared them and holy crap they look alike!
Since it was semi-nice on Sun. me and my mom decided we should take Krew outside and take his one year pictures. We also tried to get some family shots. Its was a little chilly but he was a trooper!
This friday Doug was up at school way late so I had my friend Megan come over. Meg is quite the character:) She had me laughing all night. From the second she got in the car she had an agenda. She wanted to go get ice cream, do our nails, do our hair, and then try on all of my high heels. I asked her where she wanted to get ice cream and she said "I can't remember what its called but I'll tell you how to get there." No doubt about it this girl knows her way around Idaho Falls! She directed me right to cold stone. Then we came back home I did her nails and she did my hair (to save some pride I opted not to post a picture of that) and then she tried all my heels on. Each time she tried a new pair on she had to walk on the hard floor to hear the heels clip clop. :) haha. I love all of her different faces and poses which she came up with all on her own I might add. We had tonz of fun! O I also found a blog that I really really like. . . it has some super cute ideas for little girls hair. Thought I would share it: www.cutegirlshairstyles.blogspot.com hopefully one day I have a daughter to try these on. . .now watch me have all boys! AHH!!
Today is Krews birthday! We had a little party for him on Sun. Nothing big just let him attack some dirt cake which my mom provided and opened some presents. (Even tho I old everyone that this was a no present party the grandparents couldn't resist) Here is some pics I took! This is Krews closest cousin Elsie. Don't they look alike? Thank you so much for everyone who came to celebrate with us. Also, thanks so much for the nice gifts that Krew recieved. Its so fun for him to play with some new toys and I enjoy it also it gives me a little break from trying to entertain him.
Doug and I were married in Idaho Falls, Id. Feb. 2008. We have two sweet boys. Krew is 2 years old and full of energy. Brody came to us a few months ago and has been such a blessing. Our boys bring so much joy and happiness to us. Right now we are currently living in Buffalo, Ny. where Doug is attending dental school at UB.
