Our last days . . .

We were pretty lucky our last week in Idaho to stay with Fam. and not have to work. We spent alot of QT with family and had so much fun. Here is some of our adventures:
Krew on Gama's lap watching us light off fireworks.

Before we left we got to go see cars 2 the movie at Edwards with Mitch, Jack, Gama, Abi, Ash, and Meg. Krew thought it was so cool. BIg building with mirrors on the ceiling, candy and a good movie! What else could a guy want?

Krew ended up falling asleep on Meg's lap.

The Sunday before we left the ENTIRE Messick Family had a BBQ at Doug's cousin's house. They had a cool little loader thing in their backyard that Krew absolutly LOVED! Doug really wants to make one for Krew in our backyard.

I spent an entire day cleaning our old house for Meg and Josh to move into. I wanted it to be really clean for them plus I would be so embarased to leave a messy house behind me. Nobody likes to clean up someone else's mess! I was having contractions pretty regular and my mom was worried about me being around cleaning chemicals fumes so she offered to help me clean. How nice. She will probably be mad at me for putting this pic. on but I want to remember the story behind it so forgive me mom. When she got the the house I had already been there and she asked me "what can I do?" Without thinking I told her that Krew's room was pretty much clean the window seals and base boards just needed to be wiped off, and sent her off to do that. I kept hearing her sniff sniff which is not unusual cause she has allergies but the sniffing got quite frequent and heavy so I went in to see if she needed some medicine or something. This is what I found: My mom bawling her eyes out. What a mistake to have her clean Krew's room! :) I love you mom and Krew misses you so much! Since we've left I've found out that my mom pretty much stole one of Krew's blankets for her to keep because she says it smells just like Krew. lol! Silly Gama! We love you so much!

Krew was such a trooper on our drive across the country. We went 2300 miles in 3 days! I can't say the same for me. I will always remember driving away from my parents house. I bawled for a good 2 hrs. straight and then off and on the entire rest of the trip. Krew would get so worried about me when he would see me crying. He would say things like "Doug, whats wrong with mommy?" or "Its ok mommy" Finally Doug taught him to just say "I love you Mommy" when I was crying. I'm alot better now. Maybe only once a day do I get really homesick but it helps when I get a hug from my little boy and he says "I love you mommy!" What really gets me is when Krew says "Where is Mitch? Where is Jack?" "I want gamma and papa" Or when he talks to them on the phone and cries and cries after we hang up. He misses everyone. But I know he's having fun here. There are so many little boys and girls his age that we get to play with periodically throughout the week. This move will be good for the both of us.

On our way out to Buffalo we were listening to Doug's Ipod and Krew was asleep. Doug randomly said I think this is my favorite song. So I started it over and turned it up so i could hear the lyrics. Its called "Love Like Crazy" by Lee Brice. Of course it made me cry. Everything makes me cry lately. Here are the lyrics.

"Love Like Crazy"

They called them crazy when they started out
Said, "Seventeen's too young to know what loves about"
They've been together fifty-eight years now
That's crazy

He brought home sixty-seven bucks a week
Bought a little 2 bedroom house on Maple Street
Where she blessed him with six more mouths to feed
Now that's crazy

Just ask him how he did it
He'll say, "Pull up a seat
It'll only take a minute
To tell you everything"

Be a best friend, tell the truth
And overuse "I love you"
Go to work, do your best
Don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy

They called him crazy when he quit his job
Said them home computers, boy, they'll never take off
Well, he sold his one man shop to Microsoft
And they paid like crazy

Just ask him how he made it
He'll tell you faith and sweat
And the heart of a faithful woman
Who never let him forget

Be a best friend, tell the truth
And overuse "I love you"
Go to work, do your best
Don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy

Always treat your woman like a lady
Never get to old to call her baby
Never let your prayin' knees get lazy
And love like crazy

They called him crazy when they started out
They've been together fifty-eight years now
Ain't that crazy?

I had quite an emotional trip out to Buffalo and I'm going to miss all my family, Doug's family, and our friends so much. But, I'm so glad that I have Dougy at my side. I look up to him so much and I know that when we're faced with challenges in these upcoming years I can trust Doug to always make the right decision. I feel so lucky to have him and my little Krewzer and pretty soon my new little guy. All we can do is our best just like the song says. I know we'll make it cause we have eachother.

We finally made it out to Buffalo! Our new home sweet home. More pics to come soon!

4th of July

The 4th of July was our last day in Idaho this summer :( I was pretty sad but we still managed to have some fun. Here are some pics of Krew at the parade.

For some reason Krew was a big baby about noises this fourth of July. During the parade whenever a big loud truck or something would go by he would grab Megan's hands and put them over her ears. He would get mad if she took them off!

Looking for some candy . . .

You can't really see which girl is Abi in this pic. but here she is parading by. My dad was driving his truck for them in the parade this year and when Krew saw him he couldn't believe his eyes! His grandpa! In the parade!

I still can't believe that Abi is a cheerleader. She's always been the one of us who I was sure would do sports of some kind. She will have fun tho cheerleading is a blast and its fun to practice tumbling with her. .. .maybe I shouldn't admit that. . . it was on the tramp! :) Here is Abi and the rest of the JV cheerleaders.

Ross Park

Doug's parents took everyone to Ross Park in Pocatello before we left. It was a really fun day. For some people it was the last time we would see them until we come back for christmas. . . possibly. So it was kinda bittersweet. We had fun getting a slight tan and floating in the lazy river.

My beautiful sister in law, Jamie.

Cool little wading pool. Krew liked to pretend to be a mermaid in it :)

Ross park has a pretty cool water slide. Here is Kenzie gettin off of it.

Rylee goin down the slide

Even my fearless Nice Presley went down the big slide all by herself!

Krew and Pres. Cute buds.

The only two boy Messick cousins. . . for about another 6 weeks! Quincy and Krew

Kenzie, Rylee and Krewzer

All that sun really wore Krew out! When we left at 7:30 he fell asleep in the car and didn't wake up until the next morning at 10:30! There can be miracles.

A day at the ZoO. . ..

Before we Left Idaho we got the chance to visit the zoo with Dan, Tracy and their girls. It was lots of fun. Krew had never been there before. He liked all the animals and still babbles about the zoo. .. camel, goat, presley, monkey, ect ect. It was nice to spend some time with them before we left.

Krew has takin a big liking to Pres all the sudden. While we were at the zoo Presley had a hawian punch juice and Krew thought it was so cool. SO, I bought him some juices like that for our trip to Buffalo. He refers to them as a "Presley Juice" He still asks for them all the time.

The otters were pretty cool! . . ..

We also got to see a baby Zebra!

Trip to Oregon

The first week of June we got to take a road trip to ORegon with my parents, Abi, and Mitch and Jack. We drove quite a bit. I was Nervous as to how Krew would hold up but with his buddies Mitch and Jack of course he had fun!

The boys also did alot of this:

Krew got his first experience in the ocean! At first he didn't know what to think of it. I'm glad he's cautious. Once he warmed up to it he LOVED IT! Now, whenever we see a big body of water Krew says ocean! ocean!

We got to meet Paul Bunion and his ox Babe!

If we went down to the beach at the right time of the day, while the tide was out, then we could see the coolest things and we got to collect lots of sea shells. These are one of the many starfish we saw.

Mitch and Jack loving their lives searching for creatures of the sea.

On another part of our trip we got to see the red woods! These trees are so breath taking! Abi couldn't believe how much it looked like the movie twilight. We had our eyes peeled for a member of the Cullen family the entire time.:)

Us on a little hike through the redwoods.

Sea Lion Caves

We got to stop at an aquarium. When we first walked in there was a display of fish swimming around. Krew started screaming at the top of his lungs its Nemo! its Nemo!

There was this cool tunnel that we could walk through that was glass and there was sharks swimming on top, to the sides, and below you. So cool.

We stopped and saw these BEAUTIFUL falls on the way home! What an awesome trip! Thanks mom and dad!
